Feb 02, 2014 Re: Problem with Windows 8? It is under the same file path. In the last thread you requested to look at apser in the new 8.1 does not let you go to gpedit.msc you need 8.1 pro to access it which I just recently upgraded which unfortunate it still didnt. Sep 28, 2015 - Follow the instructions below to install the Proxmark3 CDC drivers on a computer running Windows 8.1. Before beginning, be sure to download.
I have a very old Knoica Minolta laser printer at home. And when I tried to install it on my newly installed Windows 8 machine, I was told that the driver can’t be installed because the INF file is not digitally signed. It doesn’t even give me the choice to go ahead anyway. So how can I bypass this restriction to have my un-signed driver installed?
Here is what I figured and did to get around it.
First, press win + I to launch the charm bar, and click Change PC Settings at the bottom.
Then, go to General, and scroll to the bottom of the page, click Restart Now button under Advanced Startup section. Remember to save all your work first before clicking it.
Note that on Windows 8.1, the Advanced Startup option has moved to Update and recovery section under Recovery.
The computer reboots to a startup menu, in which click Troubleshoot.
And click Advanced Options at next screen.
Choose Startup Settings next,
And click Restart button.
The computer reboots and prompts another menu to choose. One of the items is to Disable driver signature enforcement. Press number 7 or F7 to continue booting to Windows 8 with digital sign enforcement disabled.
And then I was able to get the Windows Security warning window offering me to install this driver anyway.
It was successful! Restart computer once again to re-enable the digital sign enforcement.
I would suggest changing the UAC settings first to see if the Install Anyway window prompts out. The solution showing off in this post should be the last resort to try out. And make sure the driver you are about to install is safe, though not digitally signed.

Hi Mrpap,
This issue seems to be due to the incompatible drivers installed on the computer. It would be great if you can provide more information regarding this issue.
1)While connecting the monitor for the first time, how did you install the drivers? Is it from the driver CD or from the Hanns G website?
2)Did you upgrade to Windows 8.1 or is it a brand-new computer that came with Windows 8.1 preinstalled?
3)If you have upgraded to Windows 8.1 then, which operating system did you use on the computer prior to this upgrade and also did you face this issue with the previous operating system?
I would suggest you to try uninstalling the touch screen drivers on the computer and then reinstall the latest Windows 8.1 compatible drivers from the Hanns G website. Please follow these steps:
Uninstall and Reinstall the Touch Screen Drivers
Step 1: Uninstall the Device Drivers
a)Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
b)Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
c)Search for the Touch Screen device from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
d)Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please open the Device Manager again and then click on the “Scan for hardware changes” button. Check if Windows 8.1 detects the Touch Screen device and installs an appropriate driver automatically. If the issue still persists, then try the next step.
Step 2: Contact the Hanns G Support and check if they have any Windows 8.1compatible drivers for your Touch Screen Device.
Go to the HANNS G website and search for the latest Windows 8.1 compatible drivers available for the touch screen device model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website. If you are unable to find any drivers, then you may contact the HANNS G technical support and check if you can get the drivers.
Hope this is helpful. Please get back to us with the result.
